Little Einsteins: The Flight of the Instrument Fairies. [This colorful collection from the popular Playhouse Disney series includes four fairy-tale adventures, including the never-before-seen episode "Flight of the Instrument Fairies," featuring a band of musical sprites who paint the Artic sky. Join Rocket -- who can gleefully transform from a spaceship to a submarine -- as he guides Quincy, Annie, June and Leo on adventures with a team of lost puppets in Prague and at a black-tie ball in Vienna. ~netflix] while i like that this show introduces kids to various composers and artists, i dislike how annoying this show can get. also, there's a little asian girl character and i noticed that the girl who voices her is asian as well. is that a rule? like, if you have an asian character, it has to be voiced by an asian? because it seems ridiculous. then again, i'm sure asian peeps would be all up in arms that the asian character isn't voiced by an asian if it weren't... ugh. people are so dumb and ridiculous. oh. right. back to the DVD. your kid will probably be totally mesmerized... but you won't be. hehe. i think mia would give this a 3 or 4 star rating. i am giving it 2.

Altered Carbon - Richard K. Morgan. (click here to read the plot summary on wikipedia) a very interesting, very enjoyable read. i'm not done yet (i'm reading two books at once. i should just commit to one and FINISH it. sheesh.), but hopefully i'll finish this next week... :)No doubt by now you have all heard the story about Tim McLean, the poor young man who was murdered on a Greyhound bus up here in Canada. More gruesome details come out every day. It's obvious that the murderer has severe mental and/or emotional problems and I do feel sorry for him.
Today in the news, there are two news stories related to this tragedy and I can hardly stomach to read about either one. The first one is about that misguided activist group, PETA. The second one is about those nutcase Phelps folks from the US. I don't wish to give them any more room on my vox other than a simple link. You can go read the stories for yourselves.
I have absolutely no idea how these people came to the decisions they did. Well, I suppose I can imagine for PETA simply by knowing what they've been capable of in the past, but even for them the timing sure does stink. I can't even imagine how the victim's family and friends are dealing with this tragedy to begin with, let alone how they must feel about these latest stories.
On whom do you have your most embarrassing/scariest crush?

If you combined today's QotD and Vox Hunt (Show us something frustrating), I could give one big answer:
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
No, really, that would be my answer.
Hi folks!
Just wanted to let you know that as of 3am this morning, BitchBuzz is LIIIIIIVE!!!!
While this is just sort of the bare bones of the design and functionality of the site, I'm still very, very proud of it.
In the middle of the movie, I thought of this sketch. The movie inspired me, not only to draw this, but it also inspired me to remember my dreams. There's so much I want to see and experience in this world. I want to feel every feeling, both good and bad, and I want to experience every culture. Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck here--that I'm never going to get to travel or experience life. I get caught up in the every day decisions that I forget to look where I'm going. I don't want to forget the wishes I've made, and the dreams I've yet to live.
I know I'm not stuck here, and I know that I have a hole coming up. I cannot wait to finish Graduate school and student teach overseas. That's what I want to do right now. I want to go overseas; I want to travel. I think after I finish up my degree, I want to get out of this country. Haha... coming from a former Navy brat, I've lived here long enough and I'm quite sick of it. Haha.
Anyway, I lost how I wanted this entry to begin and end, so I suppose I'll stop... I'm pretty tired I guess.
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, and I wanted to share my current moleskin pages.
Good night, voxers.
Can you just see these nightlights scattered throughout the Bobavey PlayManshun, guiding your way to the kitchen for a midnight snack?
